The Aberdeen Town Council is made up of good people who care about this community. But good intentions are not enough.
Right now, the Council lacks a true variety of viewpoints, and that matters. When everyone at the table thinks alike, you get less debate, less scrutiny, and fewer questions asked on behalf of residents. Important decisions deserve to be examined from more than one angle before they are made.
Aberdeen residents deserve a Council that is open about how decisions get made and why. Matthew believes that transparency is not a luxury, it is a basic expectation. Bringing a fresh perspective to the table is not about disruption. It is about making sure the people of Aberdeen have a voice that is actually heard.
