# Meet Matt

Matthew Braithwaite — father, neighbor, and candidate for Aberdeen Township Council.

Matthew Braithwaite is running for Aberdeen Township Council because he believes in protecting what makes this town a great place to raise a family, while making sure it continues to grow and thrive for years to come.

A resident of the Strathmore section of Aberdeen, Matt and his wife, Nicolette, are raising their three young children — two boys and a baby girl. Originally from Pennsylvania, he holds a Bachelor of Science from Misericordia University and a Master of Science from The New School, and works as a Senior Client Success Manager at a large technology company, where he specializes in data collection and analytics. He is a member of Matawan Lodge 192 and a parishioner at St. Benedict’s Church. Matt approaches this race as a father, neighbor, and community member who understands what’s at stake — and is ready to serve.

Values

## What guides Matt

### Honest Leadership

Straight answers, open government, and decisions made in the daylight. Matt will treat every resident’s time and tax dollars with respect, and tell you where he stands — even when it’s hard.

### Aberdeen First

Focused on Aberdeen residents, not insiders or special interests. Matt is running to serve the families, seniors, and small businesses who call this town home.

### Protecting What We Love

Aberdeen is a great place to raise a family, and it’s worth protecting. Matt will guard our neighborhoods and quality of life while making sure the town keeps growing and thriving for years to come.

### Better, Together

The best ideas don’t belong to any one faction. Matt will bring real debate and a variety of viewpoints back to the Council, and work with anyone to get things done for Aberdeen.
